About SCERT Assam

In order to streamline, integrate and coordinate academic activities and professional accomplishment at the school level as well as for administrative convenience, SCERT, Assam was set up in 1985 as a state-level counterpart of NCERT. There are 61 Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) viz. DIET, CTE, IASE, Normal Schools, BTC, PPTTC, HTTC and HTC functioning under the administrative control of this Government directorate. SCERT, Assam has been notified as state Academic Authority u/s 29 (1) of the RTE Act, 2009 as well as the leadership academy of the state.

As per NEP 2020, SCERT, Assam has to play a significant role in enhancing academic quality aspects of entire school education including the development of the Curriculum Framework. Curricular materials, designing the pedagogical approach for learning enhancement, holistic assessment of students, teacher education, DIKSHA, ECCE & FLN, NISTHA, PM eVidya etc. Educational Research is one of the core areas of activities being performed by SCERT, Assam.

This journal is a humble endeavour of SCERT, Assam to create a research ambience in educational institutions right from preprimary education to higher educational institutions.

About the Journal

The Educational Research Journal is a half-yearly peer-reviewed academic journal published by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati-781019, Email: journal@scertassam.in  Website: www.journal.scertassam.in. The journal publishes original research articles which will serve the needs of stakeholders in general and the researchers in particular in the field of education. 

 

Aims and scope of the journal: 

 

The aim of the journal is to provide a platform to educational practitioners for dissemination of their scholarly research articles so that findings and recommendations of such research help educational policymakers and other stakeholders to promote curriculum development, enhance the quality of the teaching-learning-assessment process, and stimulate the creative innovation and further research as in the field of education. 

 

SCERT, Assam has already published four volumes of this journal. Due to the excessive workload during post Covid19 period, we could not publish it regularly. Now, it is planned to publish the same twice a year, i.e. in June and December.

  • For June version- 30th April
  • For December version- 30th Sept

 


(only soft copy uploaded in this portal will be considered for review. No hard copy of the paper will be accepted at SCERT office.)
